| 2/5/2012 - Ramsey Smith Shooting |
On Thursday February 7th, 2008, around 11 p.m., the Benton Harbor police received a call of a shooting in the alley behind 700 Colfax Street. Several subjects were seen running from the area after the shooting occurred.
Police found 17-year old Ramsey Smith lying in the alley with a gunshot wound to his head. Ramsey was a resident of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and was in Benton Harbor visiting family. He suffered a traumatic brain injury, and will likely require nursing care for the remainder of his life.

| 1/29/2012 - Scrap Metal Thefts |
As the price of metal surges, so does the theft of metal. Communities with vacant houses and buildings are particularly vulnerable. In some cases, thieves are demolishing the structures by tearing down walls and ceilings to get at wiring and plumbing. Many property owners have arrived to find flooded basements and thousands of dollars in damage.
Catalytic converters are popular targets as the price of platinum is on the rise. Theft rings are targeting locations where multiple vehicles are parked and stealing dozens at a time. Police are also seeing an increase in thefts of brass backflow valves from irrigation systems.
Victims are encouraged to report the thefts to police, no matter how minor. This provides police with better knowledge of crime patterns.

| 1/22/2012 - Karla Doty Homicide |
On January 23rd, 1999, a white male wearing a dark hooded jacket and a ski mask entered Tobacco Mart at 51530 State Road 19 in Elkhart. He demanded money and sprayed some type of irritant at employees Wendy Larrison and Karla Doty. The suspect chased Wendy into a back room and stabbed her several times. He then stabbed Karla several times in the chest.
Wendy was able to escape through a side door to find help. The suspect initially pursued her, but then fled. Karla Doty died from her wounds. Elkhart County police investigators have exhausted all leads on this case and are asking for you help.

| 1/8/2012 - Alicestein Wheeler Homicide |
| At 5:20 p.m. a neighbor walking near the vacant home at 741 N. Lawndale in South Bend saw the body of a woman behind the house and called 911. South Bend Police and medics arrived to find 49-year old Alicestein Wheeler. An autopsy confirmed she died from a gunshot wound. Alicestein lived with her family less than a half mile from where she was found.

| 12/11/2011 - Gordon Wolfe Homicide |
On December 28th, 2003, St. Joseph County Police responded to a panic alarm at 59355 Bremen Highway in Mishawaka. They entered through an unlocked breezeway door, and found 54-year old Gordon Wolfe in his living room, dead. Police determined that Wolfe died from a gunshot fired through the front of his house. Wolfe was apparently aware of impending danger, as he was able to set off his panic alarm before being shot.

| 11/20/2011 - Domingo Flores, Jr. Homicide |
$5,000 REWARD
On May 22, 2011, family members discovered the body of 53-year old Domingo Flores, Jr. inside his residence at 901 East Dayton St. in South Bend. His death was ruled a homicide by gunshot.

| 11/13/2011 - Raatz Homicide |
Shortly after 7:00 am on Saturday, August 25th, 2007, a house fire was reported at 1604 Nichols Court in Long Beach, Indiana. Responding units were told that it was possible the elderly female resident was still inside.
After the fire was extinguished, 87-year old Juliana Raatz was located in an upstairs bedroom. Mrs. Raatz died from smoke inhalatiohn. The State Fire Marshall determined that the fire had been intentionally set on a stairway leading to the lower level of the house. Mrs. Raatz`s death has been ruled a homicide.

| 11/6/2011 - Jodi Parrack Homicide |
On November 8, 2007 the Constantine Police Department received a call about a missing girl. Eleven-year old Jodi Parrack was last seen riding her bicycle in central Constantine at about 4:45 p.m. Several people joined in the search for Jodi. At 10:30 that night, Jodi`s body was discovered by her mother in the Constantine Township Cemetery. Her death was ruled a homicide.
The Constantine Police Department and the St. Joseph County, Michigan Major Crime Task Force have followed up on hundreds of leads, but they still need your help.

| 10/23/2011 - Teresa Blake Shooting |
Around 6:30 p.m. on December 8th, 2010, an unknown suspect fired a shot through a first-floor window of Specialized Staffing Solutions at 1001 East Jefferson Blvd. in South Bend. The bullet struck 46-year old Teresa Blake in the head, leaving her critically wounded.

| 10/16/2011 - Kenny Wade Shooting |
Just after noon on June 5th, 2011, Kenny was left the mini-mart at Olive and Prast in South Bend and got on his motorcycle. Also inside the store were four male suspects. They walked outside shortly after Wade. Two shots could be heard on the inside surveillance footage. Wade was shot once in the head and point blank range, and shot a second time in the back. Amazingly, he survived, but the suspects fled.
Police know the identity of the suspects, but they`re looking for more information to connect them to the shooting.
