| 6/15/2008 - Keith Carter Aggravated Assault | Early morning on May 3rd, 17-year old Keith Carter was with some friends at a residence near Middlebury and 8th Streets in Goshen. Keith left on foot by himself. About 45 minutes later, he was found collapsed in the driveway of a house in the 900 block of 7th Street.
Keith had been severely beaten and sustained numerous broken bones, including vertebrae in his neck. He had to be airlifted to Memorial Hospital where he underwent surgery.
Keith does not remember what happened to him. The Goshen Police Department has followed up on numerous leads, but a suspect has not yet been identified.

| | 6/8/2008 - Adam Soto Homicide | Early on June 14th, 1990, nineteen-year old Adam Soto was leaving a house at 600 West Lasalle Street in South Bend with some friends. A car was passing occupied by two black males and they exchanged words with Adam. The car then stopped, and backed up. As Adam turned to face it he was shot and killed by one of the occupants. One of Adam`s friends was also wounded.
At the time, the suspects were described as black males in their mid-twenties to mid-thirties. They were driving a light colored older model car with rectangular taillights.

| | 6/1/2008 - Fernando Orozco Homicide | | On December 10th, 1998, a murder was committed in South Bend. Fernando Orozco was working behind the counter of LaCorona Liquor Store at 1614 South Michigan Street, when a suspect walked in and started firing a handgun. Mr. Orozco was shot several times, and died later from his wounds. The suspect was described as a light skinned black male around twenty years old, 5`10", thin build. This shooting is believed to be in retaliation to a shooting the week before during a robbery at LaCarona.

| | 5/25/2008 - Michael Holt Homicide | On May 16th, 1995 family members discovered the body of 25-year old Michael Holt in his apartment at 907 Prairie in Elkhart. An autopsy revealed Michael had been shot to death. There was no sign of a struggle, and no sign of forced entry into his apartment. Police believe Michael may have let the suspect into his home. At this time, the motive is unknown. Crime Stoppers and Elkhart Homicide investigators need your help.

| | 5/18/2008 - Timothy Clarke Assault | On April 20th around 6:45 a.m., a passerby found 20-year old University student Timothy Clarke lying in the roadway on Primrose near Auten in St. Joseph County. He was badly beaten and barely conscious. Timothy suffered numerous injuries which required two surgeries. He also suffered a head injury and could not recall some of the events that led to the assault.
Surveillance footage shows Timothy leaving Tailgaters bar at 1500 N. Ironwood Drive in South Bend by himself at about 3:00 a.m. He accepted a ride from unknown subjects believing he was going to be taken back to campus. Timothy had also been robbed.
